Cardiff City Council wanted to use the Dragon in their brand identity as one of their benchmarks was ‘Welsh’– the dragon being the symbol of Wales, yet another benchmark was ‘human’, so the dragon was drawn in a way that conveyed the human touch by using calligraphy.
